Default Hangar 9 1/3 scale 232 Cap (please help)

Hello...please help here..... Yesterday here in Colo we had our yearly Auction (Jeffco Auction).... I was lucky to pick up a Hangar 9 1/3 scale Cap, complete with 9 servos (including 6 JR 8411's)... for what seamed to be a great deal (1000.)...... If anyone knows anywhere on the net I can download a Manual for this plane I'd really appreciate it.... Also if you have any information on this plane I could use it would be greatly appreciated... Like C.G. or anything else.... I plan on using a ZDZ 80 Twin in it.... Also do you advise 2 receivers? As you can tell im fairly new to this large of a bird........ Thank you for your time..... Default Hangar 9 1/3 scale 232 Cap (please help)

I believe the manual for downloading is still available on Hangar 9's website...you have to search for it but they have made all the manuals available. I have two of the Cap 1/3 scales and they fly great. No need for two receivers but I do use an I4C Isolator, two matchboxes for aileron servos and two 4,000 mah for servos, one 2,000 mah for receiver and one 2,000 mah for ignition. (All lithium ion packs). Can fly all weekend at fun flys without having to worry about charging. The plane flys great and sounds like you got a good deal. Good luck.

Default Good for you!

Have fun. You are going to love this plane. It is awesome. Mine has a DA100 on it, but the ZDZ80 is great, too. Just don't use the Zenoah 80 on it. It is a good engine, but a real lead sled compared to the ZDZ80. Good luck.

Default ZDZ160? Holy moly!

Oh man, that thing must torque roll at idle. Aren't you afraid you'll shred it? It must be really scary with that kind of power. I thought the DA100 was outrageous on it. Egad! :spinnyeye

Default ZDZ 160

It flys great with it.I flew it many times and it is still in one piece.
I is a very good kit that Hangar 9 sells there.
It is just difficult to keep it from rolling away in idle on a concrete runway.

He's gaining the ability to throttle up, in any attitude, from any airspeed and fly out of anything. No matter what.

Would I want it? ....no...

I had enough with the original H9 Chapman Cap with a ZDZ 40 on it...that was comparable performance I'm sure. It was fun, but not something to stay with...

at least not for me....

I can do that also with my ZDZ 80......

What makes these planes fly so well is LIGHT WING LOADING.
Not more power.
Extra weight will drastically kill the performance.

To each his own.
