My brother worked for UPS. The stories he used to tell.....I've been pretty lucky with them myself. LOL, Now he works for FEDEX, and they just did a hell of a number on a helicopter I shipped in a plywood crate.

All I can say about my other brand yak is that it is a much smaller looking plane and it weighs at least a pound and a half more than this one will. The landing gear mounting on this one is worlds better also.

I pissed and moaned a bit when I made a stupid mistake drilling my firewall, but I don't hold that against the plane or EF. Just my own dumb ass fault! I've been happy with every EF plane I own. This is the 5th or 6th. They way EF handled a problem I had with an early extra kit earned them a customer for life. Sorry Chris, but I will be back for more. I'll try not to do anything stupid and ***** about it online. I've been looking hard at that new pattern looking electric they have. Only thing keeping me from it right now is I promised the wife I'd crash something else off first. I wonder if she would count a bashed foamie. If so, I'm gonna crash something tonight after work.

Actually, these were figures I got on another plane with 6 8411s, one 8611a and two 811s.

I note the charge amount in the shop to track the consumption and it has been very consistent in terms of the amount used for a 12min flight.

I believe you´re using 5955´s all around right Josey and yarom?

For you guys using the Brillelli w/stock muffler, are you having to us expo on your throttle. I have a JR 6102 and it doesn't have that feature.

Has anyone used the new Hitec Fusion 9 receiver. It's synthesized and sets to your transmitter frequency with the push of a button. Actual 9 channel rx. My LHS is recommending them but I'm not sure. Price is only $99.00.

If you don't have expo on throttle, just make sure to get full travel AKA 100% by physical geometry of the arms and linkage.. That way at least you will have full resolution in the control ...and smoooooth linearity in repsonse.

If you have to cut down the throws in the menu's...the resolution goes to heck.

Wouldn't HS-5985's be plenty on the ailerons and elevators?

No expo but I am working on a throttle curve..right now I have my hovering/t-roll setting but need to get the rest of the curve down..Im using a 6965 with ATV's at 125 each way..You can get close with expo though...

I'm running all 5945's, even on the rudder, watched Chris do a knife edge loop with it last weekend and it's fine. I see no need to run 5995's, unless of course you have them.

Two questions. I have the DA50 with stock muffler and 3" standoffs. Can I get an inch of prop clearance from the cowl and not have CG issues?? Also, can the PSP titanium axles be used with the spats with no mods. If not, what do I need to do?? Thanks in advance.

I just orderd 2-1/2" standoffs for my DA-50, the three inch pushed the engine to far forward and besides balance it looked to me like the engine was starting to come out of the cowl, forward.

I doubt you could ever get too much weight on the nose of this plane. Usually its the other way around. As a matter of fact if you can get the batteries off the engine box, it's much better for the batteries not to be close to all that vibration. I really think 3'' is the way to go if you can get good standoffs with a big base on them. Mine will be done soon. You don't use 3'' standoffs and keep the cowl overlap at 3/4 of an inch, instead you set the overlap at 3/8 or so. Hopefully I"ll have pictures by Friday. I would not use DA 3'' standoffs, the base is just too small

Not really... there is a "QT only install" and you can set it to only play QT...

but I'll have PC friendly WMV's shortly...
