Your Carb linkage adapter and block off plate are ready ole buddy ole pal. Get your %$## out to the field and pick it up! You missed a great day in the "LewCo Shop" today. I worked on the Yak a little (fixed the wheel pants) and got the Edge all purty'ed up again! Robert chugged away at the Python, while "Hot Dog" & Jamie supervised!
Gonna weigh it at the field with your digitals. Bring your camera Tootsie. My Canon took a dump yesterday!
Enephel: I have it balanced right on the wing tube. Works great.

Hi
Very nice and clean install you made always a pleasure to see a job well done.
Just curious did you use the Turbo Reg and a pin switch or another type of Jack couldn't tell?

Regarding the baffle design. Hopefully you have a method of logging the "in flight" temps. Two baffle designs with a 35% Sukhoi and the 115 have been tried recently and the design that was flat across the front did not work well at all. Essentially a plate above and below the head height installed just in front of the heads. Ran very hot. Next flights will be without baffle for a baseline.
Logging the in flight data wil provide the info needed to modify or remove the baffle as needed to prevent engine damage. A temp gun ground check is not really enough, but if a temp gun is reading 260 or above on the ground it's getting too hot.
Would you object at all to posting some of the temps you come up with? It would be very helpful to many with the same engine and a round cowl. Thanks.

Just a little more tweeking on the baffleing. Hope this will keep it cool, and I really hope I never damage this cowl. The cowl still goes on and off easy enough. The pipe holes in the cowl have been elongated a little.

Yeah, 2 more holes, carb and needles. I got the inst. panels and pilot in last night. Just got done with the dreaded canopy. it's all taped/side splinted w/ glue drying. I'll get a pic of it up tomorow after it's all set.

These inst. panels look good, they are the ones that come with the virtual cokpits. the pilot is the 40-42% from aircraft Int. I got the 35-37% first and it was way too small so sent it back and exchanged it for the large one and it is the perfect size. just a little more triming to do here.

It's mostly 1/32" ply so hardly no weight. The only balsa is the 2 angled vertical pieces around the shaft. The top and bottom plates are backed w/ tri-stock at the front and a bass wood strip at the back. I wasn't trying to add any weight and the 1/32" ply is very light and strong, It was all attatched to the cowl with BVM aeropoxy. I also wasn't real concerned with this little weight gain with this engine. All batteries still need to be on the motor box
