27% Edge 540 CG location
I recently finished a D&L Designs Edge 540 kit. The plan shows that the CG should be 4 1/8" back from the leading edge. The wing rib at the root is 17.5", thus putting the CG at 23.5%. I'm concerned that this is a bit far forward. I compared it to a smaller Yak 54 (74" ws vs. 80"). The Yak rib is 18" and the CG is set at 6" to 6 3/4" which is 33 to 37.5%. I realize that you can't directly compare two different designs, but I'd like some thoughts on the Edge CG.
