Default CA Models 34% Pitts stinker

Anyone flown this plane? I'd like to hear about it. Is it as light as they say?

Thanks, Jim

I've seen one fly with a 3W 75 for power and it flew like a foamy.

Can you clarify this statement? Do you mean this in a good way?

Yea, it is in a good way. Last year at a fun fly some one had one. He said the landing gear area needed beefing up a little, but that was the only thing he said needed a little extra attention. We were flying at about 5000 feet above sea level and the 3W 75 pulled it out of a hover quickly. The high alfa rollers and knife edge was very impressive, and it landed very slow and stable. Wish I had one!!

O.K. thank you for the info. I'm considering getting one. I fly at 5,000 ft altitude also, and I'm always looking for a good, light plane. It's kinda expensive, but I like it, and not many people have one so that makes it unique. I'm sure the fiberglass fuse is adding to the cost. I really like the trim scheme too, but I can see how some people wouldn't.
Anyone else have iny info?

Thanks, Jim
