Recommendation for 25% Extra 300/330?
I needed a new canopy for my Dave Patrick Extra 330L as I managed to crack mine being clumsy. So I tried to call DPM and their phone is disconnected. I've seen a lot of threads on their lack of responsiveness, but I am completely out of luck here? I actually tried calling Friday afternoon late just on the off chance someone would answer and the phone rang at least.
Posted in a few forums for help finding a replacement canopy with no luck, so someone suggested trying to find another manufacturer who makes 25% extra and get a caopy from them and make it fit.
So now I'm looking for suggestions for 25% Extras. I googled around a bit, but without a lot of luck. Foudn one builder's kit, but after calling them, they are out and don't know when they'll get more.
Thanks,
Duke

I am building the old style Lanier Extra 300 kit wich is a 25% 72" kit. It is a bit smaller than a "regular" 25%er but does offer many alterations to it....since it is a kit. Check out the build thread maybe this is what you are looking for?

CA Models Extra 300. They advertise it as 24% but based on the wingpsan for the full size 300L it is actually 25%. I have one that I just finished, dont know if you are looking to build but I got a little creative building mine and it came out a touch over 10lbs with an RCS 1.40 for power. Only have a couple flights so far but it is extremely agile and has more than enough power. Netbox Hobby is the new importer for them but doesnt have the Extras on the site yet but it was also available as an ARF. You can see pics of mine [link=http://musiccityaviators.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=33]here[/link].

Chris,
Could you do me a favor and measure the width of canopy at the front and rear and also the length? That ought to tell me if it'll fit.
Thanks,
Duke

5 1/4, 6 5/8 and about 16 long. The 300L is a two place design so its probably quite a bit longer than the 330 canopy giving you plenty of room shave it down to fit.
