Stephane,

What problem are you referring to? My 110" and 88" Yak have a little up trim. I wouldn't call it a problem both of them track very straight.

My 110 and 88 both have about 4-5 clicks up trim also. Doesn't seem to effect the way they fly, or if it does I don't know how.
Good flying planes.....regardless.
thanks

Charles,

i have to add about 31 clicks of uptrim on elevator (5 mm of throw), so it's a problem...

Stephanie

What radio are you using? What do you have the trim steps set to?

Do you have a picture of the elevators with the radio powered on? 5mm wouldn't be much more than the thickness of the trailing edge of the elevator.

joe when i used locktite on the collars i had an even harder time getting them off, i used blue, removabel my *****, ended up dremeling them to cut them off, so now i put a dab of clear silicon over the screw when done, i just tried that fuel tube thing too and i like that, i used to put a dap of silicon on the axle, same principle...
It's been a long time since this was posted, but it's still useful to know that a little bit of heat will break down the blue locktite. It's somewhere between 200 and 220 degrees where it lets go. So for a wheel collar, just put your soldering iron right on the set screw for a few seconds, and it will come right out.

I once got some blue locktite into the barrel of a carburator... couldn't move it for anything! Pulled the carb off the motor and dropped it in a pot of water and brought it just to a boil. Pulled the carb out and it came right apart.

Just got my 110" 2 days ago, but already have almost everything I need to get it together. Here's my setup.

DLE-111
MTW headers into ES Composite pipes
Li-Ion batts, 2x 5200 on the radio, and 1x 2600 for the ignition
Power into a Smart-Fly PowerExpander Competition 12 Plus
Spektrum AR9000 with 2 satellites
Hitec 7955's all around, with a 5245 on the throttle... throttle servo plugged into receiver for regulated power
Kavan Air tires on PSP machined hubs
Graphics by Bad Brad Graphics
5" Mezjlik CF spinner
Custom CF baffles

Here's a pic of my 88"... the 110" will look the same.

nice scenery......i too have a dle111 in mine, had a zdz100 for the 1st year and half, saw some dles at the field, bought a 55 for myself, liked it so much i pulled the zdz and put the 111 in it, definetly had more power, im diging this set up now, switched to a biela 28-10 and id say its darn near perfect for me, i have a vid on youtube i just made with that set up i can post a link if you want, my older vids shows the zdz, had a vess 27a mostly on that, much better now for sure

Very nice picture.
My 110 has a DA100 on pipes. It's a great combo. I really like the plane.
You'll love yours I'm sure. And you setup sounds nice. It'll work great.
My advice.....double collars on the axles. Or better yet change them for the RPS (?) kind with the locking ring and then put a wheel collar.
My wheels fell off on the first 3 landings. Not pretty. But the damage was moderate each time. But my plane has been repaired 3 times and I only have about 25 flights on it. Something about the harmonics on my particular set up I think as others haven't had the problem. But I wouldn't take the chance.
Have a great time with this.
Barry

DiamondDave, I'd love to see some video with the DLE-111. I ran the DLE-55 in my 88" and really liked it. I was planning to use a Vess 28 A or B on the 111.

Barry, I've got the PSP axles that use the C clips... I really like using the clips on my big airplanes. That and a little bit of silicon tubing pushed on the end of the axle as a last ditch to keep the wheel on. I've had to make 2 or 3 landings of smaller aircraft missing a wheel... it's always exciting! And not in a good way. ;-)

Container is supposed to be in the States. We are just waiting for the call for delivery.

Best thing is to drop me an email at [email protected] and let me know the airframe and color that you are interested in and I can keep you posted.
