i really want to see it in this 110 size and then i will decide...
my wife just left for a week to go to pa to visit her parents, too bad i cant order it and get it within that week, then i could hide it in the garage for a couple months and warm her up to the idea of having it
i posted the same thing on the extra 88" thread...chris is going to get me in trouble one of these days

RE: Extreme Flight 110" 100cc Yak 54 Build!
i have a few questions for anyone with a da and stock exhaust:
are you happy with the power? would it be easier to balance if it was heavier or lighter?
i ask because i am a zdz fan, other than hacking up the firewall for the rear carb, they are great motors,
anyway, they have a 100 listed as 1 pound lighter than da, and they ahave a 120 listed as around 3/4lbs heavier,
so should i get the 100 and hope the power is enough? or get the 120 and assume there is enough power to be smiling constantly? possibly not even notice the difference in wing loading, i assume these bigger planes can tolerate a pound either way more than a smaller plane would,
i am sure i will ask again when i can afford this puppy, and by then more people will have been flying them, but i want to know which motor to daydream with[sm=lol.gif]

RE: Extreme Flight 110" 100cc Yak 54 Build!
The tightest spot in the tuned pipe tunnel is over the landing gear plate. If I remember correctly, the last time I measured it, it was 70mm over the LG plate. There is plenty of room for the KS tuned 1060 or 1090 pipes or cannisters, ES Composite pipes, or MTW 75k cans. That is one thing nice a bout this plane. Ther is plenty of room to put just about any engine combo within the recommended set-up.
Here is a video from last weekend, hucking the Extreme Flight RC 110" Yak 54!

My BMB 60MM tuned pipe fits good, not alot of space left but it's ok...
The diameter of the BMB pipes is equal over the hole lenght... thats why it was a tight fit... KS will have alot of space around the LG.
ps: Nice vid FH!!

Joined the EF club yesterday, can't wait to get her in the air! Going with Futaba 9156s on the rudder 9one to start with) and stabs and 5955s on the wings, DA100 on KS cans.
Looks another great product from EF, great construction and covering.

Found this on JR's web site.....
A great article that will help you keep you new 110" yak up in one piece!......
IT is called "Advanced PCM Range Testing" It will work with all types though (FM, 2.4GHTZ, PCM)
A wonderfull article that will have you doing a solid range test routine in no time.....
Don't loose you plane due to on-board- radio interference.....
Read it.....
Even has a download for a Range TEst Log sheet......
Direct address

Mike the planes finally left China over the weekend, which should put them here around the 15-20th of May. As soon as they reach the west coast I will be in contact with you to confirm your order and get your shipping and billing information. It won’t be long now.
Thanks for your patience.
Best Regards,
Chris Hinson

I would go with the KS 1060 tuned pipes. They work gret straighht out of the box. More power thatn cannisters. More power with the same weight. The plane should balance out good with these pipes becuase with mine I have the ES Composite pipes, and the batteries are right behind the Rudder Servo tray, and I am using two ruydder servos.
Josey,
I know you have been waiting a long time, IF you come down to Joe Nall, I will let you fly mine! The Yaks will be here the second week of May, just a couple of more weeks! You got everything to build it?

Mike,
The linkages are the Chinese Version of the H9 pro-links and work fine. Like the 88" , the 110" comes complete w/ pilot dash. Only thing you will need is the axles and wheels, if memory serves.......well along with the engine, and avionics of course.
The one thing that I am learning about this plane is that it is built light, yet strong in the right places. It will handle wide open throttle, but you really only need about 60-80% for most manuevers and general flying. Must be careful with High G manuevers like the parachute, blenders, and of course, the Aneurysm. Entry speeds does not have to be as high in order to do them. Also one of my favorite manuevers with the 110" Yak is the Snap into rolling harrier. But this plane will do it all!

Man I am with Joesy......I cant hardly wait for the planes to get here. I have been itching to get my 35% fix. I sold my other 35% in preperation for the Yaks.
I guess as soon as Chris lets me know that they are arriving at his shop I will head south and pick mine up.
