Default Ignition and Receiver Batt/Reg Setup

I have mounted one 2600 mah lithium ion battery for the ignition along with a regulator and am getting ready to mount 2 2600 receiver batteries of the same type and two corresponding regulators. I have my ignition switch on one side of the plane and my two receiver switches on the other side of the plane. I have the ignition battery mounted by the wing tube in the center and was thinking about mounting my two receiver regulators on each side of the ignition battery.....is this okay or is this not a good idea? I have been told to try and keep my ignition items separated as much as possible from the receivers/batteries etc.

Thanks in advance,
Keith

Default RE: Ignition and Receiver Batt/Reg Setup

Some of my setups have wires and servos within 1 inch of the ignition. Using PCM and 2.4 recievers. I might be masking RF signal problems with better recievers than say a basic fm reciever. Some folks are powering their whole plane from 1 battery though I hesitate to try that on my planes. You will just have to try your setup and see if you have a problem. Do a thorough ground check to be sure.
Seams to me a ignition unit that has stray RF signals will broadcast much farther that the physical size of your plane. So a good ignition unit puts out 0 emisions.
