Triple Creek 3D Fly-In: TC3D, Tampa, June 21 & 22
Hey all!
I am glad to announce a new Event called "Triple Creek 3D Fly-In: TC3D!" will be starting up in Tampa. Hosted by Triple Creek RC Club in Tampa, Florida, It will be a two day non-competitive event w/ camping on Friday and Saturday nights. Jeff, the Pres. of TCRC will also be the co-organizer and club contact person.

Also he will be bringing some 50cc Yaks and Extras, and of course, the new 110" 100cc yak 54. Just wanted to pass along an update regarding the Main Raffle Grand Prize! So far it looks like we are going to raffle off a great Prize package! It will be a 50cc Giant Scale aircraft. I am trying to hammer down some other details but Desert Aircraft is all in! I spoke to Tony Russo and he says that Desert Aircraft will be sending us a 50cc DA50R gas engine!! So we will be firming up other details on the aircraft and servos. A Complete RC airplane package w/ plane, engine, prop, and servos, just add batteries and your receiver, some misc. parts (and some assembly) and somebody will walk away with a top of the line 50cc RC aircraft, just by showing up at the event and buying a raffle ticket!!!!
Pilot prizes are off the hook as well!

her is another vid that my wife and I Made of the Extreme Flight RC 50cc Extra 300. This plane totally rocks. IMHO it is the best 50cc ARF out there today, and even edges out its sibling, the 88" EF Yak 54. Again, look for TC3D plug at the end of the video!

Chris Hinson is going to be distributing a new Engine from "Area 51". It will be 51cc

Chris said that there is about 40 of these engines currently in the US and the response is good. Yes it looks like a DA especially with all the CNC work. Chris says that these engines are showing to be reliable and stronger than the DA 50. Comes with stand-offs, muffler, & ignition module. Price? $400. Oh Yeah!
This Engine will be included with the Grand Prize drawing. Also to be raffled off in the Main Raffle is a Desert Aircraft DA50R Gasoline Engine! Oh Yeah!
Also, Chris Hinson & Mrs. Melissa Hinson aka Mrs. Extreme Flight!!! will be bringing "The Stuff" to TC3D! Can you believe it. Chris and Melissa is coming to TC3D after their Honeymood! With TC3D just 5 days away, the FFAA gang area getting their planes ready and sharpening-up the Extreme 3D skills! Looks like this event is going to be a Hot One! Hot in Temps, and Hot Extreme Aerobatics Down on the Deck! So Far we have 25 pre-registered pilots, which usually means about 50-55 registered pilots. We are going to start finalizing the Event Schedule here in a few days. With TC3D just 5 days away, the FFAA gang area getting their planes ready and sharpening-up the Extreme 3D skills! Looks like this event is going to be a Hot One! Hot in Temps, and Hot Extreme Aerobatics Down on the Deck! So Far we have 25 pre-registered pilots, which usually means about 50-55 registered pilots. We are going to start finalizing the Event Schedule here in a few days. Here is a tentative Daily Schedule for the two days at TC3D (of course this schedule is subject to change, so your input will have some impact):

8:30a to 8:50a - Pilot Meeting
9:00a to 12: Noon - Open Flying till Noon.
12: Noon to 12:30p - Noon Time- TBM Jet Demo, Extreme Flight RC 3D Demo.
12:30p to 2:30p - Open Flying
2:30p to 3:00p - Tail Dunk contest! Winner gets Prize for Friday & Saturday
3:00p to 5:00p - Open Flying
5:00p to 5:30p - Dead Stick Landing Contest- Sponsored by Plane Wrappers
5:30p to 6:00p - FFAA âAll Up Huck!â
6:00p to 7:00p - Pilot BBQ Dinner
(7PM- FFAA Meeting)
6:00p to 8:30p Dark - Open Flying
8:30p to 10:30p - Night Fly- âroad construction flood lightsâ - Electrics only

After TC3D the only event left on the FFAA calendar is the Flying Giants Huckfest in Atlanta, called the Hucktoberfest on October 24-26th, 2008.

Well it's official! The Flying Giants/Extreme Flight RC Atlanta Hucktoberfest 2008 dates are October 24-26th. This is 2 weeks after the Tucson Shootout and the weekend before Halloween. Daylight savings time will still be in effect. Same format as last year-only bigger! Huge raffle prizes, best BBQ around, great music and of course 3 full days of down and dirty, tail draggin', grass cuttin', rudder scrapin', smack talkin' HUCKIN'-southern style! Mark your calenders and book your rooms, this is THE event to attend in 2008!

Look for a full article in the magazine section as soon as I get get the photos and video sorted and the article written.
It was a awesome time though. Rennie, Chris, and the boys really put on some awesome flying. Triple Creek RC did an awesome job hosting and feeding the pilots and spectators. The only bummer was the showers that came and went but it made for some cool rainbows Saturday night and Sunday morning.
