What is a good plane for 35cc Engine?
Hi,
My friend gave me a brand new 35cc engine for $200 bucks. I thought it was a good deal, but i am having a hard time trying to find a plane i like for that engine: not much a of a selection.
I like Scale, aerobats, and warbirds.
Anybody know of a good plane for this engine!? post links and pics!

Hello,
Look at the Aeroworks 35cc Extra 260 and 300. They are both designed for the 35cc size engine. The 260 is currently on Holiday Sale!
Visit link http://aero-works.net/store/
Thank you

I think I would try one of the new 30cc planes by Slipstream and sold at Chief Aircraft. My personal choice would be the new Sbach 342, only $319 plus $39 SH. Might do it myself but use a OS 160FX with Slimline Pitts in it because I have an extra one. Jon

OS engines are great, I have four of them.....they are like owning a Honda, which can take a lickin' and keep on tickin',but have you ever thought about going with a MLD 28cc http://www.chiefaircraft.com/rcmsec/...DLE.html#dle30 or a DLE 30cc http://www.chiefaircraft.com/rcmsec/...k-singles.html ? The OS 160FX may put a hole in your pocket, it will drink alot of nitro. You will save alot of cash if you go gas. Whatever choice you make, remember to fly low, fly high, fly hard and fly safe.

Thanks for your concern about fuel. I have one OS 160FX in a Giles 202 about the same size as the new Slipstream 30cc planes. I guess maybe since I have so many planes that are flyable, I don't think much about the glow fuel consumption in the 160. Just doesn't seem excessive to me, and I love the pure unadulterated power of that engine. That's why I picked up another brand new but at a used price and will find it a home soon. I do have a DL-50 for a 30% Extra 330L though!

You have some really nice models in your hangar. Ever thought about getting one of these: http://www.aero-works.net/store/detail.aspx?ID=374

I like my Wildhare baby edge, awesome quality at a very low price point. I would go for a baby edge over those slipstreams. I'd like to try an aeroworks sometime just to compare to the wildhare. I don't think the quality or support can get much better though.

Can you advise if you did eventually put an OS 160fx in a 30cc Sbach 342?
I am also considering this but all kits are generally rated at 1.2 on a two stroke and I was concerned that it might be overpowered?
Any comments would be much appreciated.
