Default 33 and 35% extra's

can someone help me out ?

what max prop size is good for the 33 or 35% extra and what RPM's should I shoot for for great performance? What kind of thrust should I be shooting for? (measurement in #'s)

Thanks in advance for the help,

Rob

That all depends on the motor, not the plane.

John,

Sorry,

Since I don't have the power plant yet, and I did not want to get into brand name opinions or sizes, I was trying to back into it based on performance

For best performance, what RPMS and prop size have people measured?

Thanks Again,

Rob

Id say you want something that will swing a 26x10 to a 28x10, the engine of choice myself would be a DA100

Depends on the weight of the plane.
If it comes out reasonably light (23-25 lbs), a 26x10 Menz-S turning at least 6300 rpm will give super performance. A Mejzlik 27x10 prop turning at least 5800 rpm would be equivalent. So would a Mejzlik 26x10 turning 6500 rpm.

If it comes out heavier (27-30 lbs), add 300-400 rpm to the above figures to get the same performance.

Rob,

There is no answer to how much thrust or best prop size without knowing the weight of your plane. Is it going to be 23 lb or 31 lb. There really can be this much difference between kits. So what kit is it and what's the projected weight.

And if it's 23lb. a ZDZ 80 or 3W 75 single will provide more than enough power.If it's 31 lb. then you need a 100 twin.
