Mike Hurley Extra 300LX Build

I'm excited to say I am finally picking up on a project I've had in limbo for many years, the AMA Project Extra from January 2003.
I wanted to solicit input from anyone who's built this awesome plane asking whether to go with the vacuum bagging method of wing fabrication vs. a traditional layup of balsa sheeting over the foam cores? Can I obtain the same results without vacuum bagging?

I have never used vacuum bagging. Good old gravity has served me well for dozens of plane. Dan

Rudder Horn Placement

I’m wanting to know from anyone who’s built the Hurley Project Extra (AMA Jan-2003) as whether the plan is correct with regards to the servo horn placement on the rudder as referenced on the blue print. I set it to spec but it appears it could interfere with elevator when it put in down position. I would appreciate any information that clarifies this. I haven’t installed radio yet which could lead to the answer but I’m sure someone has encountered this to confirm.
