So here we go again.
The seat frame is complete. About to make the cushions out of real light weight foam. These will be removable and held on with velcro. They will hide most of the radio equipment. Then to set up the belts on the pilot before moving on. Need to remake the rudder horns as I have found I have got the geometry wrong - pain in the backside but it needs to be right. From there I'm gonna setup all the fuel lines including a smoke tank setup. Then to start closing in the front end and looking at fuse rigid panels. Planning on using heavyweight proskin - fibreglass sheet. Front top will be removable. Gonna try and do these like the fullsize which allows a nice finish around the cabane struts. |

RE: Exclusiv Modellbau 50% Pitts S1
I must admit, i`ve spent the last month or so jet flying and neglecting the rest, but enjoyed every moment !
Wouldn`t mind seeing some pics of the mig when you`ve finished working your magic on it ! |

... yes, good question.
Back at it after Christmas. Working to finish a BVM Mig 15 to fly before Christmas. New toy arrived at the same time - Tomahawk BAe Hawk which has also distracted me. Back soon. |
RE: Exclusiv Modellbau 50% Pitts S1
Hi craig, how's it going ? Thats me just getting round to doing the cockpit on my TC pitts but the numbers dont stack up. I've ordered a pilot from Axel and i understand that a 1/3 scale pilot is 300mm from the sitting position to top of the head, i barely get 300mm from floor to top of the turtle deck as he would be sitting on his bum !
Is it possible to get some sizes from you I.E. the angle of the seat back, lenth of the sitting part of the seat and height of the wooden frame (at the most forward part of the seat) from the top 0f the fusalage frame ? i'm thinking if i multiply your size by two then divide by three i should get it pretty close. Any help you can give me craig is much appreciated. I'm also hoping the seat will cover the rudder servo and i wont have to move it. http://i709.photobucket.com/albums/w.../Image0891.jpg Cheers for now, john |
What happened to this project ? Did it fly ?
