I'm planning to install a DLE-111 in mine, for the fellows with the 100cc engines what prop are you using? I have a 27x10 but the ground clearance is pretty close so I'm thinking about using a 24x12 3 blade... Or is there sufficient clearance with a 27x10..

Thx

Thx for the reply, are you running cans or mufflers? Just curious what your seeing for RPM's with a Air models 25x12 3-blade on mufflers. I have a Mej 24x12 3 blade I though I would try first, and if needed move up to a 25x12.

Thx

Hey Andy,
I weighed my Pawnee this weekend with the 50oz fuel tank full and the t/o weight is 46 lbs!!!! To the other person asking about props, I run a DLE 111cc with a 27x10 with no clearance issues. I might go to a 25x12 to limit some prop noise.

Wow, thats 10lbs more than mine but I didnt weigh it wet. Yours definately has more uphill than mine though the JTec's gave me about 900rpm and my engine guy as the motor running good. You coming up on the 5th? I need a glider by then but I think I'm going to be flying a rental.

How do you know if you have not weighed it yet?

Keep in mind, I'm carrying almost 3lbs of fuel at takeoff, I've also got some large NiCads in the nose for balance. (the batteries probably weigh in at 2lbs total. The reason I went with NiCads is I needed the weigh for balance and don't like to run voltage regulators needed for a Li-Po setup. My school of thought is the less "active" components the more the reliability. I run dual RX batteries and a single ignition battery. Not sure about the 5th. My son has a football game at 9:30am. I"ll have to see what goes on.

Before I pull the trigger on the Pawnee, I need to know if someone can advise me of the height of the Pawnee, without wings attached, from the ground to the top of the cockpit. I've got so much room in my trailer for height and it will be hard for me to exceed a certain height. I assume, with th mains and tail on the ground, the height of the cabin is taller than the top of the rudder.

Thanks to whomever can provide me with the measurement.

26" or so and yes, the canopy is higher than the rudder

Thanks for the measurement. Now I'll have to see if it'll fit!

Thanks again.

Hey there I'm another hoping to pull the trigger on this beast

Could someone possibly tell me the height from the tail wheel to top tail/rudder please?Somehow going to try and squash this into my estate!

Think I will need to make my horizontal stabs removable. Anyone have any comments whether this is doable or not? Maybe I will use powerful thin glider type servos...

Many thanks Ryan

26" is the floor to top of canopy when its sitting on the wheels. If I had to guess (and I will right now since I'm away at a helicopter event) I'd say the rudder is an inch or 1.5" below that. I can get you the exact measurement tomorrow.

The servos are installed in the rear fuselage, yes it would be doable because you could remove the rods at the control horn connection, plus you have the flying wire rigging to deal with.

If memory serves the stabs are solid, though an inventive modeler could probably come up with something I'm sure. Make sure not to use any less torque than the 6020's have.

I was out flying my 33% H9 Pawnee this past weekend when my left door panel was blown out. I was unable to recover the panel and have yet to find a replacement for it. Anyone know where I may be able to get one!!!

Would really appreciate the help!!!

Few nice videos of mine below. I'm running a BME116 twin for power swinging 28x10 prop

My door windows also blew out so make sure on using lots of ZAP canopy glue!

Has everyone lost interest in the 33% Pawnee-no one is posting any more about this plane or has Hagar 9 stop manufacturing this plane like they did the Twin Otter. I had two of those, one electric, one gas-great plane.
They did the same pricing as they are doing to the Pawnee. The first 33% Pawnee that I purchased when they came out was $1150 no shipping cost then went to $1250 and now - the best I can find is $1350 plus shipping cost
