Default Giant Big Stick

Iam looking to move into the world of larger planes. Iam looking for s Giant Big Stick or something in that range. Ihave an OS1.60FXjust sitting around begging to be put on something. Wouldnt mind if it were a kit or an ARF. Would like to hear from some of you guys on what you reccomend and who Ican find it from. Ihave found Great Planes ARF and Aircraft Modelers Research. Open to all suggestions.

You could have a look at the Tower Hobbies 80" wingspan ARF Giant Stick or the Great Planes 82" w/span ARF Giant Super Sportster, either of which would be a great platform for your 1.60.

Ihave the Great Planes giant stick with a fugi gas motor. It flies like its on rails. My freinds has his with a 1.6 fx in it. He definately has more performance. In fact that 1.6 will make it boogey. Either way it an great big plane. Good luck.

@wesaysoracing: Would like to see some pics of the kit once you start it. I would like to have a kit to work on for the winter time. I am finishing up a Sig Wonder kit, so I need something bigger to keep me busy.

I've built two of the AMR kits and currently building the Twin Stick. Top notch kits. You can't go wrong with their kits if you want to build one. Jerry.

I built it about a year ago (twice) and have had a ball.

Another good cheap option is the World Models Super Stunt 60, pretty much a Stick and is built fairly solid. I have one set up with a DLE20 and it can be set up to be docile or go like a bat out of hell, all at the flick of a trim switch. I originaly wanted a GP Giant Stick but thought the price was too high.

I think I am going to go with the GP Giant Big Stick for now, since I have the O.S. 1.60FX sitting around. I would like to get one of the AMR kit later when I can pick up a gad engine for it.

@frequent flyer - that is a great looking plane.

hello
i purchased a ARF, giant big stick, from great planes. the plane has 4" dubro inflatable wheels.
i put a zenoah G38 gas engine with magneto.
this plane is a rocket

very solid

i crashed it twice
each time repairing it.

i can show you pictures of it.
and video of motor running.

the zenoah has a bisson muffler.

I have the Great Planes Giant Big Stick with a Zenoah G38. Unforuately the motor locked up. I am considering installing an OS 1.08 FSR glow engine. Has anyone seen this combination?  The OS is rated at 3hp. Hope I am not disappointed.

Both are GP giant sticks. I dont like the round tails. Both have DLE 55's. The float plane needs to be painted, the red one has probably 200 flights, 4 years old. One dude said I would be able to fly it full throttle. Great flyers. Taller gears for ground clearance
