Robart hinges for 20cc and larger
Dont know whether this is the right forum to post this
We recently got an ARF from a chinese manufacturer (arfmfg) for a 20cc engine. The airframe has its issues and we are reinforcing but the hinges that came with the airplane dont seem to be that good. These are robart type and we would like to replace them. Problem is Tower has a ton of choices.

So please tell me which ones are best suited for 20cc and 30cc airplanes

The real issue is that they are "Robart type" not real Robart hinges. I have seen some very good Robart copies while others are molded either from substandard plastic or the molding procedure is not correct producing a either a brittle product or one with substandard tensile properties.
Unfortunately this usually manifests itself during flight causing either partial or full loss of a flight surface.
I have used genuine Robart hinges on planes up thru 150 cc displacement with no issues but the hinges were installed in material adequate for the task as well as in the proper numbers.
