Default Interior WWII cockpit colour?

Hi,I am building an Aerotech 1/5 scale P51 detailed cockpit kit and I am wondering what colour paint folks use for interior wall colour in WWII warbirds. Many warbirds of that era have a yellow-green colour everywhere inside and in the wheels wells etc.I believe that it was not a paint at all, but actually a zinc chromate chemical corrosion resistantcoating that makes alumunum go that yellow-green colour.Since Zinc Chromate is extremely toxic and not available today, what paint brand and colour is typically used to emulate that surface colour in interior cockitpits in scale models?

I saw a Krylon "IvyLeaf" spray can today that had a very yellow-greeen colour.Has anyone used that paint for this purpose?

Thanks.

Default RE: Interior WWII cockpit colour?

Zinc Chromate color paint is widely available where finer paints are sold
