makeing smoke oil

RE: makeing smoke oil
Kerosene, is lighter and does not smell much compared to diesel. I am using a 50/50 mix of kerosene and mineral oil and it produces pretty good smoke, but not as good as Super Dri. I get the mineral oil at a feed store about $18 gal and the kero is $4 so it comes out about $11 gal. It does leave a mess on the plane if you have the flow too high and spit out alot of unburned oil. The trick is not letting the muffler get to cooled by too much oil. Some of the ingredients being used are harmful to covering as mentioned.

Does super dri smoke oil eat up covering and foam, or is it safe on covering. Maybe it never forms oil on your covering in the first place to eat it up...hence the term super dri?
