I have them on my 1/4 scale stiks.  The plane doesn't need them and I'm sure the giant scale one doesn't need them either ...but they are fun to have . Depending on the radio, you can set-up crow and do some short field, fast  high altitude landings, set-up air brakes, and set-up full  wing ailerons .

why not
Be a good plane to experiment with flaps, then when you build a scale model, it will be easier to adjust and get used to flying with them.

Steep short approaches, 3ft. take off runs and flying backwards on windy days, sure! Sounds like fun!

I put flaperons on my 60size stik and it's really fun.Obviously the plane doesn't NEED them...but they sure are fun.Short takeoffs and landings.

I put flaps on my AMR Stick 85 (120"). Work well and lots of fun to play with.

Cheers,
Dave.
