The fuselage is nearly complete. The wiring and switches have been installed and everything has been tested and passed. The wings are next,,, hope to start on them this weekend.
Sorry, new photos at this time.

Default Latest.... working on the wings

Working on the anchors in the wing for the struts and the flying wires. Pivot hinges also glued into the wings at this time..... slow progress when I can only work in my spare time. More to come.

The plane is finished. Working out the fine details at this time. I will produce a complete photo album and post it here soon. First flight will be late spring/early summer.

Mine is finished...just waiting for some warmer sunnier weather to do a photo shoot. Very rainy and cold lately.
bh307...what is the wingspan of the one you ordered and what engine do you plan to use?

I have an evolution 99cc radial and have seen picture of the one duane built with it. It is a perfect fit for the plane. I was going to get his agcat but decided to buy his 146" wingspan airtractor 802. I may still get the agcat but my hands are gonna be full with this beast.

I had a local machine shop cut and bend a custom made landing gear for my plane. It's designed to lift the fuse and engine higher from the ground to avoid prop strikes to the ground with a 26'' prop. It will actually handle a 28'' prop should I decide to use that but I most likely won't as it would be way out of scale with the size of the plane.

Default Fitzgerald Ag-Cat in Model Builder

Came by the Model Builder article on Floyd Fitzgerald's Ag Cat, and thought to scan it for posterity.

Considering it for a future project, with the Evolution 999. Like the 90" span size, though a bit confused. At 2-1/2" scale, a 90" span would imply the Ag-Cat he modeled had a 36' span. Early "A" version of the Ag-Cat, perhaps?

Duanes Agcat is the same scale as the Fitzgerald Agcat but he made the b model which had the larger tail and extended wing tips.

Duane is still alive but slowing down on the kits. I talked to him a few weeks ago. He is thinking about selling the molds to the agcat and the airtractor.

I would love a kit for the AgCat. But I don't think I'd have the funds by the time he decides to sell.
Could anyone who purchased a kit from Duane give me a rough price of what they paid for the AgCat?

I would certainly be interested in one of Duane's Agcat kits, too.

Yes, I bought one from him a few years ago. It was the 89'' ws version and it was about $950 plus shipping at that time
