That is one SWEET looking plane you've got there! If I built something that good, I don't think I could bring myself to fly it, I'd be terrified!!!

Your cowl fit is beautiful Vince, I really like that, suppose I could say that about the rest of it too. Don't you think a good aluminum sleeve would work well for anti crush engine mount holes, I have thought about doing that but haven't to date. The plate is a good idea also espacially if you need added weight up there.

Then there is the 3D mount, I have no clue how that is accomplished but it sure is cool. I could think of several other things to make that would be alot better than the old way of doing them, thats just super.

Very nice Vincent, I am most impressed at how clean the gear cover is on the bottom. Usually most everyone falls short there. Very well done.

Quoting Molly Hatchet says a few things about you. Among them, is that you are OLD.

Nice work, VJ !

Thanks gentlemen, I am very happy with how it's all coming together. Still a long way to the finish line though... I'm hoping to see the big brown truck today!

Leroy your idea of using an aluminum (or brass) anti crush spacer would work well.

The really bad part is that I was in my 30's, listening to Molly Hatchet. That makes me older than dirt.

Almost completely moved. Started to set-up my shop, will be remodeling this space after my Edge has been completed.

Tank has been plumbed, you can see how I ran the vent line if you look carefully in photo #3. I mounted the servos for the elevator halves and ran all the wires through the tube (rocket) that I had installed earlier in the build. It was a snap to just push the wires through and have them come out in the exact location that I wanted. I also installed one of four remote receivers in the tail and used the same chase to run the wire. The receiver that I am using is a 12 channel DSMX Power Safe Aircraft Receiver made by Spektrum.

Vincent,

I am happy that your long journey of selling and moving is almost complete. Yayyyyyy

Not sure I understand the purpose of remote receivers.
Is it for redundancy to make sure signal is received ?
Or is it for adding lots of servos for limited channels ?

Kevin the purpose of all the remote receivers is redundancy. The extra locations of these receivers ensure that you always have a strong signal. Too much invested in this plane to gamble with signal loss... Though my Spektum receiver came with 4 remote mount receivers I could only use three, however I am choosing to use all four.

Large scale rc aerobatic airplane, $5,000.. large scale grin on face from maiden flight... priceless. Now if you had gone with an Airtronics radio you wouldn't have needed all those extra receivers. ooooh Looking real good there buddy!
