It is a one piece unit. However it does not matter at this point as I am back to as equipped. Thanks for bringing it up as I was not comfortable with the single bolt prop shat anyway. Here is why. When I removed the original prop shaft and installed the true turn one. the step on the back of the shaft was contacting the crankshaft and would not allow the unit to sit flush with the crankshaft hub. As such I had to machine off the aft face about .010" in order to make it work, and sit flush.
Anyway the little voice inside my head was not happy. Also since you said don't use it. It then reminded me to try and use the original hub. Well now it's a no brainer.
Appreciate you for bringing it up and just confirming my original thoughts as well. Now I see you live in Keller. Is this Lee as in "Rice"?
Thanks again

This morning I sheeted the top left hand wing. Had to trim a little and all the seams are tight. Very satisfied with the way the top skins came out. Now time to dry and go to the fun fly.

Glued on skins, then made a sandwhich of ply and balsa for the trailing edge of the wing to the forward side of the flap. Glued that into position.
Beveled the upper half flap and aileron skins, then glued those onto their associated ribs.

This morning, I finished the top half of the Left wing. Then sanded the bottom half ribs and shear webs to even.
Per the manual I drilled a 1/4" bolt hole through the top wing skin so it can be located when both sided of the wing have been sheeted. Then removed the wing and plans and laid out the right hand wing plans and plan protector film.
Assembly of the right wing is in progress

Well today has been a "fun" day. Started out with epoxying the landing gear maple blocks to the ribs. Then after the epoxy cured it was time to "fit" the gear. On the right wing the uplock would not engage even with the rib sanded as close as I cared to. So, I added some washers to get the gear to raise just a tad and wallah, I am now getting the uplocks to engage on both gear with ease. I know it does not look like much but there is about 8 hours worth of work right there. LOL, oh the joys of retracts.

yes sir. I had to go to the hobby store and purchase some 1/8" maple stock this morning to get the gear to retract properly. Lot of work but now the gear seems to function real well. I placed the Robart air pump on each gear and both are extending at 60 psi with no volume.

Got the gear working like it needs to. Now comes the "fun" part. I have just laid down the first of 3 layers of fiberglass in the wheel well for one wing. After this wing is done then the other one is next.
Stay tuned.

Got the wing joiner epoxied. One wing has 3 layers of fiberglass the other currently has 2. Not much to look at but will "dress it up" later in the build.

Finished laying up the 3 layers of fiberglass cloth in both wings, Next was the wing joiner. What a pain, I had to sand and sand and sand to get it to finally fit. Then it was both wings dry fit with the wing bolt plate installed. I couldn't help myself. I had to place the wings on the fuse and see what it looked like.
enjoy and more to come.

No sir. It is a total of 3 pieces of wood. Two larger pieces of ply and a middle piece of light ply. They are glued together with 30 minute epoxy. Then it is sand, sand, sand to get it to fit in the wing channels.

First order of business this morning was to epoxy the wing halves together. Then make and install servo hatch covers for the flaps and ailerons. Then I mounted and aligned the main gear for the final time. Might need some tweeking but will not know until we do ground taxi tests.

Glenn, a good way to align your gear is to get a 3' or 4' long 1/4" steel dowel from HD. Run it threw your gear with or with out the wheels. You get a perfect alignment this way. You don't want toe in or out, dead on is best.

Thanks man, I did not even think about that. I downloaded the "ARF" manual from top flight and they say to align the gear with the rood of the wing. I like your idea tons better. I will be doing that soon.
Thanks again

Installed the flap and aileron hinge blocks. Then fit and drilled the dowel plate. Next was to install 1/8" balsa behind ribs 6 and 7 to support machine guns. Oh yeah got to love machine guns.

Built the wing cradles, then took the plans and copied the wheel well area for a template. Used that to cut out the forward wing skins. This took me awhile to get right. About 10 hours all together to get both forward wing bottom skins to this point.
I am glueing on the right bottom wing skin now and the the left is to follow.
Dont know how much progress I will get done today as I am prepping to travel to Atlanta on Monday then Corpus. So I will update as I can
