I believe it could be a Flair quarter-scale. They're somewhere in the 87-90" w/s range.

87 inch was not accurate. I measured the top wing and it is 8 feet. I am not sure of the kit. The guy I bought it from did not know because it was built by a club member that passed away. One of the older club members told me the plane was likely 30 years old if not older. Any ideas guys on the kit?
This plane Flies so nice it is like a big gentle giant but you have to stay in front of it on landing or it becomes a handful real fast.

I believe that you have a Godfrey Srearman.
They were an early Giant Scale design from the 80's.

Nice looking plane you have. Stearmans are cool.
That engine sounded like it was laboring to me, perhaps rich on the high end. Maybe thats why the one bad takeoff.
G62s are great engines. It should not sound that way. I recommend a tuning or carb rebuild if it is very old.
Loved your landings btw.

I bet your right on the tuning. I have not touched the adjustment in years. I have always had it a little rich for the break in but now it's time to set it correctly. Thank you for the suggestion.

I spent a good part of the winter on maintenance . I replaced hoses and converted shock mounts to solid mounts. What I did not replace were the flying wires. The wires are about 10 years old and did not look bad however they broke in flight and I was lucky enough to see them during a low pass.
