Looking forward to see what you are doing for flying wires and where you are getting them.

Were these ordered to specific length and quantities? Any additional fasteners etc.
Will be anxious to see how they fit up.

The threaded ends are left and right so they are easily adjusted after installed

Do the cotter pins need to be removed at flying wires each time at flying field or do you use clip pins?

Default The World Models 100cc Stearman

Hey guys,

I finished my World Models 100cc Stearman and had the maiden flight about two weeks ago. Flew very well after several clicks of down elevator. Seems to still be a little tail heavy even though I had adding 3-3/4 lbs of lead to balance it. I built the Stearman pretty well acording to the manual, including using the dummy radial. I had to remove part of the backside of the dummy radial to clear the cylinders and mufflers on the DLE 111cc twin. Rather than have an extension made for the prop shaft, I was able to use four prop washer to get the proper clearance from the front of the dummy radial.

I have really enjoyed all of the photos posted by n8622t, what an outstanding build!!!! Hope to add a little more detail to mine in the future, but for now, I'm just going to enjoy flying it. My plans are to take it to the "Joe Nall" on May 9th.

I tried to add a few photos of mine at our field on the day of its maiden flight.

Congrats dougflys!!! The down ele needed sounds like a lot of lift but you might need some down thrust added as well.... I added about 1/16" shim on top bolts just to add some down thrust to mine. Hope to be flying by mid week, good job on the maiden

The wires will all remain attached to the brackets and the brackets will attach to the N struts with four bolts on each side. Should be an easy assembly at the field
