Today I did a little more finish work, got the landing lights hooked up and tested.

I still need to do the wing tips but that's not stoping me from getting ready to fly.

All the other lights are working and tha cab is well lit up.

Should be be able to get her into my trailer by the weekend weather permitting.

Today was a monumental day, I kicked the cub out of the house and into the trailer, and............she fits

I need to to find how I will store the wings next, and still leave room for my P-47

Friday I will install the wings and fire up the engine, and hopefully if weather is good I will go to the field Sunday for a run up and taxi test.

Today I forced myself to setup the cub and fire the engine up. I am so out of practice on my rutine from fueling to starting. But I was able to get the engine started right off the bat once I primed the fuel system. With the cans you can bearly hear the engine pop with the choke on, it doesn't pop, this will take a bit getting use to. Once the engine was runnining it is so quite that it's scary. But it does sound cool for the cub. Once I got the idle set I think it was running at 1600 rpm. I warmed the enigine up and advanced the throttle. Again I think it was at around 6700 on the top end. I have a digital tach but was really distracted so I did not really pay atention, again I'm very rusty.

I did some taxing on a rough grass area. It did not take much to get her rolling and she was very maneuverable with the tinny 1-1/2" wheel. The turning radius was very good. Restarts where very rutine and I am just making sure all is good as I don't have the cowle on. If weather holds I may go to the field on Sunday, need to get my trailer setup tomorrow.

I think I will go to the Highland lakes field, if not then the south field on the best day either sat or Sunday

Do you want to fly Saturday or Sunday, either field.
