The stab and ele finally dried, I ended up putting a heater in the room and still took most of the day. I just glued in the ele control horn blocks and will get started on the tubes here shortly. While I was waiting I made the frames for holding the plastic for my canopy. I have a lot to do tomorrow personally and hope to get the bottom wing at least started.

I had to go back and read that you did reinforce the tail fin, I do remember what the fabric shrinking did back there. Rodert your work is almost artistic. I am also watching to see how your oven and canopy come out, I hope that goes well, you deserve a good one this time.

Thanks Leroy.
On this stab tube I followed the plans measurement, but, they were wrong. So this time I mounted one side, measured for the other, and then cut them to length. Now I can epoxy the sleeves into the stab, then mount it again and epoxy the sleeves in the fuse. Good times my friends!

I was getting ready to leave when it dawned on me, "I have several packages scheduled for delivery today" including the engine. So I did not go but rather sanded all the wing parts and have trial fitted them. They are currently patiently laying there waiting on me.

It has to be a joy putting a plane together with the quality parts shown in that one, the ribs are beautiful and I bet the parts don't need much sanding. That's how I see it from here. When I expect shipped items I don't leave the place either, I like to make sure I get the box not some thief which seam to be everywhere.

Leroy, this is the best kit I have ever seen. The only sanding is the small tips where the parts are cut out of the tree. The motor is out for delivery according to USPS and it has one digit off, I spoke with the mailman Saturday and he said as long as it has the right street he could figure it out.

All the running in and out and around is done. All the ply and hardwood has been glued and clamped on this half. Once dry I will drill the needed holes and sheet it.

That's all dry so I drilled and mounted the wires attachment points and glued on the wing's tip. There is one more thing needing done before sheeting and that is that big dowel that wraps around the tip.

Well, I found a boo boo, the kit supplied wing tip dowel is to short. I'll have to make a run to Ace and pick some up. I don't know if it will happen today or tomorrow though.
