I don't recall the Holiday Inn Express commercials but John and I are at the age the CRS kicks in. The funny thing my wife still can sing all the old cigarette jungles from back in the late 50s and early 60s!

Do you guys remember that movie Billybob Thorton was in and he tells a joke; " There were these two fellers one was from Arkansas, get it". Funny stuff.
Jeff

Ok. I looked up the movie he was in and if you get a chance you should see it.

Sling Blade, his character is Karl.

I picked up the picnic table yesterday as well as, well, the truck and trailer was full. Spent the evening putting things away, went flying this morning then put the rest of the stuff away. I got three flights in on the little Pitts, man what a hot rod. Currently charging it back up for tomorrow morning, afterwards I should be able to get some sanding done on this one. The electrical supplies came in so things are just waiting on me.

That is a funny commercial... not seen anything like that here on the west coast, but back then I didn't watch a whole lot of television, so I could have just missed it... the wife has a memory like an elephant, and she doesn't recall it either.

Don't forget to click you heals together three times and repeat "There's no one like me as a pilot, there's no one like me as a pilot..."

The sanding has begun. What I like to do is put a center line for reference as to not over sand. But I also put a second line just a tad offset of the centerline to let me know when close but the photo was of only the center.

Let me put it this way, mine cost just over $900 and this one just over $300. So yes! This one is a piece of junk!

Mine will be repaired for less than $200, far better route than a new one.

The tail feathers are sanded and ready. I gave this the same deflection ability as mine which is 50°. On my little one's I don't use but around 20° and is more than enough for me. But you may want to go 3D with this thing and will need the 50°.

Sounds good Robert, I just might need that little bit more for 3D. Though my 3D is not that extreme to some it will be as scale as I can fly it.

The fuse has been sanded. It is getting late enough I decided to leave the wings for tomorrow. So being all sweaty and such got cleaned up. Now I am going to spend the evening makeing the linkage for the ele's and rudder.

The ele's are done, need to break out the book and see what EMHW has in mind for the rudder. And I will get right on that first thing in the morning.

Have I said yet how much I miss my computer? I really miss my laptop!!

Is it morning yet, LOL. The rudder is a simple pull-pull so I hooked up the connectors and will install the cable tomorrow.

Went to rehab, returned and installed the cover plates. Once they are totally cured they will get contour sanded then on to the nose panels.
