The laptop should be ready for pick up in the morning. The hard drive was replaced as well as it got a good cleaning, builders dust don't ya know, and no programs or photos or anything was lost. Woo Hoo!
I did rehab today, but only because of insurance legalities, the guy said there was nothing he could do of which I already knew. Go figure! Next week I go back to the back doc and now he can do something. But with the new nerve meds it is not killing me, just a nagging ache. Of curse that is unless I do something stooped, of which (uh hmmm) I would never do. LOL!

Robert, Sorry to hear that you suffer from chronic back pain... I also have been dealing with the same for the last 25 years and I know how you feel and hope there is a treatment or procedure that brings you relief from the pain. I hope you get your lap top back soon because I cant wait to see more pics of the build!

My Feedback: (6)
Robert if its any consolation at least you're still in the pain stage, when you get to the numb stage like I did they start talking paralysis. I had back surgery on the double to keeo from losing the use of my right leg. I feel a lot better now mostly pain and numbness free. I still wake up stiff and a little sore but the more active you are during the day the better you feel. As they say if you don't use it you lose it.

I picked up my laptop yesterday evening. It will likely take most of today to get through all the windows updates (five years worth). Then I have to set all the programs back to my style, download a few programs, and re-install a fewsuch as Realflite and Eagle tree. HopefullyI will have all this done today and can get back to normal operations tomorrow.
The visits with the Doc and Dentist yesterday left me layed up for the evening popping Codine like M&M's. But I feel great today (with no codine) and see no reason why it won't continue from here on,for a while anyways.
I am looking forward to loading the current pics and continuing on my way with the build.
Later!

Nice work Ace... do you round over the edges on the tail surface by hand?... I lost the patients to do that years ago... I don't know what I would do with out my router and round over bits.... about the only thing I'll sand by hand are flat surfaces, wing top & bottom, and the leading edge, but I use a long / flat sanding bar to do that.

That's a good idea, hadn't thought of that (Clever )... those small trim routers can only fit in certain areas, so the contour block idea will help blend in the areas the router can't get too.

The panels are fiberglass and in the pic below the white is kit and the grey are of my making. Once everything is buttoned up real tight and ready for drilling for screws I will remove my glass and replace with G10 which is a fraction of glass.
I use artist paper to cut templates for the glass, the glass being stiffer gets trimmed to fit better than the template, then I use the fitted glass to cut the G10. It may seem like a overkill but this is my best method of an absolute tight final fit.
