Are you kidding? If you want someone to give you their idea of a fair price for something, you 'gotta specify what you have including servos and whatever you did to "rebuilt" it. AND you GOT to have pictures....

For a good answer, pics and details really are required. Otherwise, any respondent will be guessing.

The engine is worth around $250.

Without seeing the airframe, maybe $150.

Mystery servos at $10.00 a piece.

Here is the info we need from you to get a better assessment of the airplane:

-Airplane manufacturer?
-Size of airplane (wingspan)?
-What servos?
-What receiver batteries?
-Engine hours?
-Detailed pictures of the entire airplane?
-How was it flown?
-Including anything else with the deal (like receiver, wing bags, fuel tanks, ect.)?

Everything listed above factors into the price someone is willing to pay. Be specific with your answer.

Take a look at the competition in the For Sale ads. That should give you a fair idea of it's worth.

$ 500.00

In the interest of fairness, the OP gave as much info off of the top of his head without placing the add
so why not give him a break ?

They are just saying its hard to place a value on it without more details like this

Check out the posts this fellow has posted and it tells you who and what he is. The first sentence of his post tells you all you need to know. He says the airframe has been rebuilt and recovered. Than he goes on to say that the plane has never been crash but yet he has rebuilt it.

Ask $10,000 and then accept the highest offer. You'll be lucky to get a few hundred. Value is in the eye of the buyer. Get what you can but don't think it will equal your expectation.

Generally, the used value of the engine and maybe the servos is about all there is in a complete airplane. You give the airframe away with them to get rid of everything at once.

i wish to thank all the members who added to this thread,,,i sold the plane today to someone who has been flying for over 30 years........he said the unit looked great and the covering was well done....had a very mod look to it and knew the time it took to recover it........as the unit was never damaged but the covering was old it needed a new skin.......he ran the motor up and was very happy with it,i did install a smoker and it worked well also.......he did say he would up-grade the rudder servo but all others were just fine...he also liked the nav lights i installed .he looked it over for about 20 mins and not once did he have a smart ass word to say..........it was sold for 625.00.......that was his offer and i took it..........i am sure he will have many hrs of fun.......

Good for you Handy. Assuming 15 minute flights, 50 hours worth of flying is 200 flights or about a season's worth of flying. If he gets 50 hours flying out of the crate, sounds like a bargain.....

When you ask such an open ended question, can't help but field all sorts of answers. Can't take them personally; but I admit a certain amount of irritation when certain folks just have to needle you with political bs.
