Default Enough power?

I've decided to build a BUSA 1/4 scale sopwith pup. Most people run a 23cc or bigger 2 stroke but I'd like a four stroke gas engine. The new Saito FG-19R3 is 19cc. Will this be enough power? a 15-6 is the largest prop recommended by Saito.

Lots of drag on a Pup. That engine has less power than an OS 120fs. I would not use it..

I'd recommend that you get the 33cc 3 cylinder and then just manage you power settings with the left stick.

The 33 was my second choice, but it may be too heavy.

You will probably need the extra weight to balance.

I'm going to find out the weight diffence between the 33 and a 23 two stroke.
OK the 33 is 50.8 oz
a 26 two stroke is 53.6oz, a 23 is 51oz.
This could be a good fit.

I wouldnt way overpower it and have to add tail weight. You will somewhat compromise that planes great flight characteristics.

Even with this motor i bet it will still need some nose weight. This won't be way over powered either.

Like i said above if you use the left stick to control your speed you will be just fine.

Ya, I don't think you can add too heavy of a motor to these pup's. I read a post from a guy who used a 26 2 stoke and he had to add FOUR lbs to the front. He obviously built it tail heavy, but it came in at 20lbs !!
