need to see your ideas on how to hang a 1/3 scale giant plane either wings on or off? have a big tall garage ceiling but need to see how to get the beast up there and hung safe as not to crash down on parked car under it. thanks

I haven't done it yet, but when researching this same subject, I came a cross the idea of using a bicycle hoist to raise the planes out of the way. I made straps with loops at the ends that will hook to the bicycle hoist. I purchased 4 hoists from Harbor Freight, I just haven't installed them yet.

I would suggest wherever you end up attaching the ropes.. also connect the rope to the landing gear so you can put some of the weight on the axles ..instead of all on the airframe.. The plane was built to sit on the landing gear and will take the load a long time without messing something up.

I'm entertaining one of these to hang a giant in my garage.... which was why this thread caught my eye. The idea came to me a few months back when I was shopping in the store and ran across this system.... This one is $60

Just found this one also... 100lb rating. $30. I'm sold.
