Default FAI Fuel

I have a great planes Stearman with a Gemini 120 4 stroke. My question is can I use FAI fuel or stick with fuel with nitro.

I don't have experience with that particular engine. I know it is harder to run FAI on 4 strokes too. You will need to run a hotter glowplug, but I assume you are running something like the OS Type F plugs, which are already hot enough. It won't hurt to try on the ground, it won't damage the engine. But make sure no flameouts happen and you have good idle and throttle response before you takeoff. For 2 strokes, typically you go with a hotter plug and removing head shims if there are extras installed. That would be something to check on your engine, if there are more than one head shim under each head, remove them to increase compression. If you remove any headshims, you most likely will need to re-adjust the valve lash.
