Welp, here's mine. I finally got the landing gear done. I haven't really started the bottom center wing yet. I've been too busy sanding sanding sanding...

Did John supply you with any pics of the right side of his plane? For some reason I'm having difficulty locating pictures of the other side of the fuse. If you have any I'd appreciate it if you'd post or email.

Some fullsize Bücker PHOTOS...

The PIPE Here again...and recently my German Email buddy placed some of HIS Bücker aircraft photos up at his site, specifically at http://www.biplanes.de/show_hihai_03_buecker.shtml ....NOT just Jungmeisters this time!
I'm ALSO getting Jens Klank, my buddy over in Germany, to help me in obtaining photos OR drawings of the EXACT fuselage framing layout/geometry of just about the ENTIRE full sized Jungmeister's fuselage....I have YET to find ANY info on the exact structural layout on the Jungmeister's fuselage here in North America, as THAT info WILL BE A MUST-HAVE before I can get on with the task of even BUILDING a Giant Scale Jungmeister. let alone actually CAD-drawing it up first!
And you may ask...just WHY am I looking for EXACT structural layout & geometry details for MY Giant Scale Jungmeister's fuselage???
That's because Carl Clemens Bücker and his Swedish colleague Anders ANDERSSON (who COULD have been a distant ancestor of ABBA's keyboardist BENNY ANDERSSON), the designers of the original full scale Jungmeister, unintentionally, ALREADY designed "the perfect RC model structure" for an RC model Jungmeister...which would be, curiously enough, THE EXACT STRUCTURAL LAYOUT OF THE FULL SIZED ONE...so, by following as MUCH as possible the layout OF the full scale aircraft's structure, even with DIFFERENT materials-these being composite fiberglass and carbon fiber tubing (but of a similar format, that being ROUND pieces of tubing) than the full scale aircraft had, I'd be building the STRONGEST, and yet the LIGHTEST in weight, fuselage design for my upcoming RC Giant Scale ABBABIPE Jungmeister's fuselage construction!!!
And if ANYONE reading this thread actually HAS photos OR scale drawings of the Jungmeister FULL SCALE fuselage structure/layout/geometry in their possession...PLEASE, if you could, make them available to share with me for my needs, as before too much longer I'd LOVE to get going on at least the CAD drawing portion of this project...with NO true "modeler's workshop" at my home (which HAS to be created FIRST before I can start flying OTHER aircraft besides my ever-so-sturdy Swizzler) I'm just able to ONLY work on the CAD portion for now!!!
But check the photos out there...and MORE Jungmeister AND Jungmann photos are "scattered about" Jens' site as well on other pages there besides the "linked' one I've mentioned already!

At last, the Jungmeister is finally ready for it's test flight. Some final specs: 86.5" W.S., 2086 sq in wing area, weight 27.5 lbs, no balance weight needed. Engine is an old A&M Sachs 4.2 single turning a 24x10 prop at 6300 static. Bisson muffler.
I range checked it today with the engine running and the 8 channel FMA receiver showed no signs of glitching.

Pipe I enjoyed looking at the Bückers on your buddies web site. Good luck finding the drawings that you are looking for.
Here are a few more photos. The last one shows me lifting the plane at the balance point. Ever tried holding a 27.5 lb plane up with the tips of 2 fingers? It may be a touch nose heavy but I'm going with that for the first few flights.

What can I say...WOW! She's a beauty. You're is proving as motivation to continue mine! I would love to see her fly on her maiden!
I received my RCV 120-SP the other day and have it mounted on the fuse. Thanks for the great photos. I hope it fly's like it looks!

Jay, thanks for the complements. I hope to see yours ready to fly one of these days.
Marcus, before I fly it, I'm going to remove an inspection plate on the bottom of the fuselage and find out what is rolling around in there. One thing that has helped me get these planes ready is not having to get up at 5:20 AM and go to the salt mine every day like I did for 33 years. Retirement, I highly recommend it.

Naah, I actually love what I do, but being my own boss, instead of taking it easy with hours and times, I have an even tighter schedule as before when still an employee...

Ari, maiden flight was today. Look 3 posts above this one. It really flies good and landings are very easy.
Although the tail wheel tracks good on the ground when taxiing, when I land and the plane starts to really slow down, it wants to turn hard right I think this is because the 3/32" tail wheel wire is too limber. I'm going up to 1/8" and try it again.

Ken that was fun . It flys great i like this one better than your last one. The details were very good but a lot of work.I had a great day. That engine was hard to hold down. Here are two more flight photos made yesterday (8/24). WOW, this is one fun flying plane. It is very aerobatic after the style of the full scale.
So I could photo the plane a good friend was putting the plane through it's paces when the engine died as it came out of a stall turn. I forgot to push the idle-up switch on when I took off. He couldn't make the runway but made a superb landing in foot tall grass and weeds. No damage what so ever. I had visions of it flipping on it's back in the weeds. The Jungmeister has the wheels way ahead of the CG and this puts a lot of weight on the tail wheel after the mains touch. This must have helped a lot in preventing the flip.

I have a GA Bucker framed up and ready to cover but have a question regarding the structural integrity of the wing. As someone pointed out earlier in the discussion the wing spars do not carry thru from the outer panle to to the fixed inner panel. My Q is, do the flying wires provide enough support for the wings or should one look at building in an aluminum tube spar for added strength for the wing? I only ask because I once had a Flair 1:4 Tiger Moth fold its wings on me in a roll and I am now, understandably, a little gun shy

Yes Mack, it was Ross on the sticks. He is on a very short list of the people that I would trust with this plane.
Ross, the wing attachment design is very different from the planes that most of us have built. This takes some getting used to. I assure you that the attachments are very strong. The tabs that Gary shows are made from 1/16 brass, however, I used 1/16 6061-T6 aluminum in the interest of weight. The 3/32 flying wires carry the weight of the plane. I used the DuBro solder type rigging ends. The reason that I used these rather than the threaded adjustable ends was because on my previous Jungie I had at various times a couple of these break in the threaded portion. I made a complete set of soldered flying wires later for that plane. Using an incidence meter I built the flying wires in place prior to covering the wings. Be sure to run a drill bit through the back of the DuBro rigging end and use a good solder flux. I used common 60/40 radio solder.
