I don't get it one company has no info but pics and this on has the info and no pics.
I like these PittsM12 and I would think they would be huge sellers in the 50cc range.

I'd buy it right now if it was available. I believe Aerotech is going to offer one in the 50cc class also. First one to market will get my cash. This is from Aerotechs website.
NEW PITTS 12 Prototype now in and under going testing. Initial specs are 68" Wing Span, Length 66" designed for 50cc engines. Stay tuned for future updates and pre-order announcements.

Well, guys I received my Cox Pitts model 12 today. I briefly looked through the box and except for a few wrinkles on the fuse everything else is perfect. The manual is in color although it is a bit short on information. You will need to buy a HD control system, wheels and some hardware for engine mounting other than that this thing is a beauty.

Cox has these listed on there site 599.99+ shipping, the picture on the web needs to be better to really show off just how pretty it is.

Looks like a great home for an 80cc single. With just over 1600 squares, it would easily handle the extra weight of the 80. That would be my plan, anyway... At my altitude (5500') the DA50 wouldn't quite cut it.

Does the rudder look strong enough? Resist warping and such? It is just so hard to tell by simple add pictures... Could you post some?
Thank you

Its an ARF ! no skill involved in gluing thing's together if you can put a 130.00 arf together you can put this together, this airplane is just like the rest of the pics posted on RCU engine bolted to the firewall, rudder servo mid ship pull-pull, you get the picture figure out your cg, range check go fly.

I sure don't think it's a dog. I've got about 20 flights on mine with a G-62 and really like the way the model flies and looks. I don't do 3D so can't comment on hover, blender, etc capabilities, but it definitely flies scale-like Pitts manuvers. The G-62 is more than enough power, a 50cc engine would probably be best choice for power/weight.
Problems encountered so far:
- The clevis's supplied for the flying wires and tail braces are junk. The threads strip when tightened.
- The holes in the metal standoffs that the tail bracing wires attach to are way too big and allow excessive play.
- The front of the cowl is beginning to show small cracks developing around the edge. I've reinforced with FG cloth and resin.
- The top of the firewall has delaminated slightly. I've reinforced the area with epoxy and wood screws. This seems to be holding up fine.
Overall, I think the Pitts is a pretty good model and worth the price.
Hope this helps
