1/3 Scale Mercedes Benz engine kit?
I have a good friend who has built a beautiful Balsa USA 1/3 scale Fokker D-VII. The plane really needs a dummy engine to make it complete. Does anyone know if a kit is available?
Here are a few photos of the plane. He is using a 3W-80 and the plane flies extremely well.

If you dont need it any time soon you might take a chance on getting it from Arizona Model Aircrafters. I bought a 1/3 scale Albatross DIII from them in January and I still dont have all of it yet but they make a Mercedes engine kit for it. I got one for my Albatross DII that was part of the kit that I did get. It's been 5 months getting this kit. It wasnt cheap but they sell the engine kit separate. It's a laser cut kit out of plywood. I havent recieved the cylinders for it yet so I dont know what they are made from. All I can say about dealing with Arizona Model Aircrafters is buyer beware. Might check e-bay for the Arizona engine kit as well.

wdemon, thanks for the information. However, I found out this weekend that my friend sold the D-VII. I could have kicked him for not letting me know that he was going to sell it. OH well............ He used the proceeds to buy an RCS 215 radial to go in an, as yet, undecided airplane.
