VERY nice.
And thanks for the link to the San Diego A/S museum article.
We were just there last summer and the currator said NOTHING about a Gee Bee build... he did, however, mention the P-26.
I will indeed make an effort to see this once it is completed.

GAD! Forgot my question, real reason for replying!! Does anybody have the 71" Haffke plan? My customer can't seem to find the attachment points on the bottom wing for th flying wires. I need the distance from the strut centerline out to the attach point, and the wing dihedral. How about Henrys email address? Thanks for any help. Lee

If you get Haffke's book, Gee Bees - The Real Story of the Granvilles, it has numerous 3 views of the various Gee Bee aircraft.
From those 3 views you can obtain proper measurements and proportions just by scaling up.
Polikarpov i16 !!! Do you know of any giant scale plans for the WWII Russian fighter of your name sake?? I cannot find anything to build from on this GeeBee'ish fighter.

Hi Richard, I have built I-16 years ago. I was searching for plans for a long time but could not find anything. At the end I bumped into a russian web site and found a great 3 wiew drawing with a lot of detailed info.
I started from there. It was 72" wingspan with OS 120 four stroke. I designed and built my own retracts as there was nothing available at the time. It was fantastic flyer and I ended up selling it to a club mate.
Now, years after, I'm thinking of building another one, bit bigger. I have a Moki 150 radial that needs home. Here is a pic.
