I had them burned in during the cutting but a little time with a drum sander on a Dremel would produce the same results. I am thinking of enlarging these as most of the center contributes little to the overall strength.

I use an old drafting template for making circles and ellipses. 1/64th ply offers little resistance to a new #11 blade.

The resistance goes up quite a bit after the 1/64th is glued on both sides of a 1/8th balsa sheet. Yhat is why I had the holes cut prior to bonding.

Small Update - 3-26-08
Work is progressing on the fuse and the wings, I'm working on both at the same time.
I had a chance to take my tail parts over to a friends, he owns a trophy shop and has a nice laser cutter, not sure model or wattage. He was able to cut out lightening holes, all total I shaved 4.8oz off all the tail surfaces. Thanks John AKA (King)

Update - March 29, 2008
A couple of friends of mine came over and helped me put the fuse together, you will notice from the pictures that the fuse required some bending and some clamping, it turned out great..

5-22-08 Update
Been awhile since I've updated the thread, you would think I gave up..haha.. Nope, just been working on all parts of the airframe and have some things to share.
More photos of the Fuse coming together. The spar boxes are glued on and the tank tray and tank are pre-fitted.

Motor is pre-fitted and throttle servo installed. Don't make fun of the funky hole in the firewall, it works!! Those darn rotozips get out of control, but they do make life easy when cutting a hole in 3/8 aircraft ply.

Elevators are hinged, and control horns installed. The elevator servos are mounted in the tail, not my first choice, but I don't care for Sullivan flex push rods. The other option was to run two 40" long carbon fiber rods from a servo tray I built up forward in the fuse, but they would have had to be crossed to get the proper geometry, it looked like a mess.
I mounted the servos under the stab, they will be accessible from a hatch on the bottom of the fuse if need be, a pretty clean install. In case anyone is wondering where I got the servo mounts, I picked them up from Horizon, they are JR servo mounts, they have many different types, and as you can see have come in handy. - http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=JRPA244
The control horns I picked up from Extreme Flight R/C, they are the same used on my 50cc YAK. I like the security of the double truss horn, they will be on all control surfaces. Control rods are central hobbies CF Rod with 4-40 titanium ends, Dubro heavy duty ball links.
Now off to hinge the rudder and install the pull-pull.

This mess of clamps you see are holding the 5/32" music wire that is glued to the front spar box with hard wood blocks.
The second photo is the music wire exposed, still more to glue.
