you might want to check out San Antonio hobby show in Mt View . Sheldons hobby shop in San Jose . these are big hobby shops that have been around for 40 + years and are the only ones that I feel are warth going to . also a neat but small hobby shop is J&M hobby house in San Carlos,
Flying fields , In San Jose there is a big , super nice field by the name Tomcat field .. there are many in the area , 12 that I know of within a 80 miles from San Jose , tomcat field is your best for big planes ,

San Antonio is closed. There is Sheldon's and California Hobbies now. AeroMicro also has some gas stuff, but is mostly geared towards electric. Sheldon's has gone down hill IMO. California Hobbies is not bad. There's also a Hobby Town in Cupertino, but it's not very good either. Isn't there one over in Livermore too?

I grew up in Mt View , while out there about 3 years ago San Antonio was still open , Bummer , sorry for the bum info[] I always thsught that they was way over priced anyway. doese anyone remember pecs ? I know they have been closed for years but I liked the down to earth people that ran it , lots of help , I loked that hobby shop

Yeah, I grew up in that shop. Spend many weekends looking for my next model to build there. Lots of those guys are still around, but in different shops around the south bay.
