RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi Audorobici,
What happened to your Cessna to cause it to crash? I can see the tail plane broke off but did this happen in the air or did it impact the ground?

Hi Ozflyboy
and 'all happened on the ground!!
and 'skid and the front end is given
when the turbine develops all its power on the right and pulls very much grass drifter
looked like a rally car!!
I hope you understood why I can not speak English and I'm using google translate
Still I must reinforce the tail on the coupling flanges of wood where there are 4 screws
and heavy tail and flanges are just stuck there are no reinforcements.
not use the glue that tommy and 'two-component resin
Tommy uses a glue that comes off easily and 'that yellow cream
model and the 'glue that heavy and insufficient.
you do not want to frighten everyone, but I advise you to reinforce the tail area of the 4 screws (the flanges of wood in black)

even the inside wing Renting
no later than tomorrow, I send you photos of the details and that 'best reinforce
tommy unfortunately reinforced in these areas very little.
in these areas and instead 'reinforce important!
I did not think that a rejected take-off would cause damage to these areas are broken most 'important.
but I wonder? and if all this was happening in the air? would be a tragedy!

Use this glue. It is used on full scale aircraft. It is VERY VERY strong.

Use the long nozzles. DO NOT use the short nozzles as they do not mix the glue enough: http://shopbvmjets.com/zencart/index...3clnfmrlievn40

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi Super Mario and Audorobici,
This is very unusual.
I have not had any stress related issues in the fuselage of my TMMY Cessna either and mine weighs in at 33KGS or 72lbs. I admit that I have re-enforced the landing gear box with Kevlar tows, but apart from that mine is stock out of the box from Tommy.
This has happened to another 182 owner as a result of an engine failure and the aircraft overshooting the runway combined with a stall and then resulting in a high nose attitude impact to the ground.
Although I was not present at the time of this incident I do suspect that the rear fuselage underside had contacted the ground which caused the fuselage halves to break apart at the butt joint.
What one has to realise is that these are very large model aircraft and in saying that they should not be flown or landed like a 40 size trainer plane.
Each landing has to be made carefully with a nice long stable approach. If you intend to use flaps use elevator coupling function or a flap system which mixes in down elevator for each flap setting. This is what the full size do whenever they use flaps. Re-trim the aircraft for a slightly nose down attitude.
Audorobici, let's hope you have your Cessna fixed and back flying again really soon.

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
thanks friends for your advice
Finally I have almost finished the repair and reinforcement can not deny that I've made very many
I used a lot of fiberglass and resin very much
and everything almost ready for painting and then off to fly!
But I have to 'admit that the turbine jetcat spt 5 is not as' powerful as I thought it is only 11 hp
I'm curious to know if Peter Sutter is good.
and the turbine will be found 'well?
size of a propeller mounted?
I hope that Peter answers
hello friends
sometimes I look and I say that the Internet is something beautifully
Friends think we all have the same passion we have built and we are all the same model around the world
Italy, Australia, USA, Switzerland and wonderful all this true ?????

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi Guys.
It has been a while since i was on here, I have been working 7 days a week
between our two mattress shops and now we have a hobbie shop in the
back section of one of our mattress shops.
My Cessna is nearly ready to test fly, Getting the new axles made to suit the
brakes took a while. I need to add some weight to the nose
if anyone can give me any feed back on how much you used and where you fixed it to.
The pilot needs belting in, Centre of gravity needs to be rectified & re do my wing wiring
as i am going to use one plug and not three for the servos and lights.
Enjoy the photos.
Regards Martin.

Sorry the photos didn't load and i ran out of time to re do them, hopefully i will get to it tommorrow.
