Has anyone used a fuel pump with the OS 160 twin?

RE: What plane is a good match for OS 160 twin?
I have a question... I just happened upon an old Extra 260 73" wing - very heavily built 15.6 lbs! Does not look like it has ever flown (or the engine run). I am trying to decide on if it is even worth trying to fly this plane as is (I have my doubts to how well it will fly), strip the heavily painted coverite off and lighten the craft and refinish with a film, or just salvage the Gemini 160 engine and electronics for another aircraft. Thanks.

I have seen the OS 160 twin in a lot of air craft. One that stands out in looks, sound and performance was a 1/4 scale clipped wing cub.
With a clipped Taylorcraft semi symmetrical wing. The plane I saw was very light and agile. Fun to watch. Bet it was a lot of fun to fly.

Take it to the field, and fly it like you stole it. By the way, you probably need to grab a gallon of 10% Omega. That is about as hot as the 160 likes. It'll run just fine on 5% or even FAI fuel as well.

RE: What plane is a good match for OS 160 twin?
Anyone out there try the OS160 twin in a Balsa USA Folker DR1? How did it work out for ya?
I picked up a DR1 with a G23 in it from a fellow club member this summer. The Zenoah G23 will fly it, barely. Acutally, it is probably pretty close to scale. However, I like to have a little more in reserve for those "just in case" moments.
I am thinking the OS 160 would fit right inside the cowl and should have enough power to fly the DR1 quite well.
What do you think?

I vote for 1/4 scale Cub. Let those beautiful jugs show! Never needed a pump on mine even in aerobatic planes but tank must be mounted exactly as directions say.

Yeah, I hear you guys about the cubs. It would be a perfect fit and in fact that is why I picked up the OS 160 twin. I have a Dynaflite PA18 Super Cub in the attic just waiting for me to pull it down and get started. I am thinking about turning the Super Cub into more of a bush plane. Over powered, larger balloon tires, etc.
I am just exploring other options. I am kinda leaning to the Fokker DR1. Wanting to get out to more war bird fly ins in 2011 and as I stated before that G23 is just barely enough to get into the air. Adds a good amount of challenge, but I'm looking to just relax and have some fun.

I flew my BUSA Dr.1 with an old OS 160 for about three years till it just gave up,
replaced it with Magnum's version and still flying. Good matchup.

That's want I wanted to hear.... Thanks for the info, Del
Did the OS 160 twin fit in the cowl?
Do you recall what prop range you were using?

Yes, the fits inside the cowl just fine and room to spare.
I extended the exhust pipes down to just below the bottom
of the firewall. Has a great sound.
I use a 18/8 which seems to be a good matchup. An
8 pitch seems to work great on a Dr.1, I use a 26/8 on
my 1/3 Dr.1 with a Zenoh GT80 twin.
