Another TLT Yak 54 25% Takes To The Air
I got a TLT Yak with a CRRC engine from Tom at Valleyview RC a couple of months ago. I finally had time to put it together, it flew for the first time last weekend. It is a very nice flying airplane. The CRRC motor is very strong and reliable so far. I ran a gallon of fuel through it on the bench. I installed all the stock hardware that came with it exept for the throttle linkage. I put a ball link on that.
The instruction manual could be a little more detailed but it was OK. My setup came in at just under 10lbs and balanced very nice. In flight it showed no bad habits. I did not land with any flapperons down, I brought it down a little hot on each landing just to be safe. It settled to the runway very nice when I cut the throttle about a foot of the ground.
