Hi Guys,
A quick update, the wingtips and ailerons were temporaraly fixed to works out the chequered wing tips on the full size, the area was masked off, keyed, preped and painted white, the whole area was then covered in 2" masking tape and after over 8 hours [
]the squares drawn on, and cut out ready for paint, again keyed, preped and painted in black, this was done yesterday (Saturday) the paint used was again 2K basecoat mixed 2;1 with activator and thined 20%, not the 'normal' way to mix 2K basecoat but i want this to go rock hard like the rest of the airframe.........Next week i will apply the red around the chequeres and the insignia.................

Here we go!!
Chequers and red stripe around them all done, layed down the mask for the insignia tonight, masked and painted blue, the mask has started to lift around the edges again, but it did this on the fuz and diddent cause any problems so hopefully should be ok for these!!
There is a small problem, if you look in the photos at the underside photo you will see there is 2 round inspection panels missing so unfortunatly it wont be completed by the weekend now, they will have to be done at a later date!!

HI Guys,
This will be be my last lot of photos of the T51, the 'white' of the star and bar was painted last night, today the two small hatches on the lower side of the wing were painted, the wings had all the masking taken off and cleaned up, the owner will be collecting the wings on Monday, so the next lot of photos and information will be from the owner................ with hopefully a link to a flight video!!

Thanks for your comments, shame it took so long to do though, mind you its done and out the way now, Dave can get on and get it flying now he has all the bits back, ive got a heap load of jobs to catch up on, i mite just get my planes sorted to catch the last couple of fly-ins before the end of the year!! LOL
