Default Engine for Ziroli 86" Bearcat

Hello all, this is my 1st post in the giant scale area. I received my Ziroli Bearcat kit and am thinking about what engine best suits the plane-and me. I plan on building it as the 1967 example of Greenameyers "Smirnoff" air racer. I plan on building a scale version, complete with clipped wings. I may also build a 2nd wing that is full span. Im working on acquiring a set of the Robinaire articulating retracts or similar articulating retracts.

I plan on flying it at scale speeds, but also want plenty of power should I decide to race it-or at least have a rocket should the need arise. I guess I want the most power for the best cost. So far I am thinking a BME 102 (like in Evan Quiros model) or a DA-85. What about 1st place engines? This is my 1st giant scale plane-and I have plenty of warbird experience.
