    I used a Fuji 50 EFI for my mount, plenty of power, however... if I'd do it again... I would go w/ the G-62. Mainly for the usable nose weight needed. With the 50 & too get the CG in place... Took 3lbs-4oz of lead-shot. Glenn

    As far as hiding the seams between the fore and aft pieces, if you're going to make them separable, I think using a dark color would work the best.
    I will get the dimensions of the cowl tomorrow.

    I am gonna purchase one of these planes next month. I was just wondering where I can get the lenses and lights for the nose cowling. I also want to install wing tip lights a tail cone light vertical fin light and rotating beacon on the bottom of fuse behind the two section seam in the scale position. I don't see any problem installing any of the lights except maybe the wing tips. It might be hard to find scale lenses. Any help and suggestions? Thanks

    Am installing the rudder pull pull system,and want to know the distance from the trailing edge of the vertical stab to where you drill the hole for the cable in to the fuselage. I am guessing about 6". Anyone have any thoughts from theirs completed?

    I don't have this plane but if there are guide tubes for the cable you can run the inner part of a Nyrod through the tube from the cabin area and once it hits the covering at the rear of the fuse you can mark where to make the holes. You could also use a 4-40 rod are anything else you can fit inside the guide tube.

    Still working on mine. So far about 4lbs of split lead to balance with a DLE-55.. If you can go with a heavy motor 62 as suggested before would be perfect. Still going to need to add weight no matter what motor you go with.

    Hope to have it out this weekend for the 1st flight.

    Pictures soon to follow. Don't no all up weight yet as I am not finished.

    Put the maiden flight on the Cessna this past weekend. It flew great the DLE55 has way to much power. It needed only about 1/3 power to pull it around nicely, but still faster than scale speed. The CG felt VERY nose heavy and it showed on landing. Even with full flaps she didn't want to slow to what I would have thought. So I pulled almost a half pound out and it felt much better but still a bit heavy. I will post a final CG location once I get a couple more flights on it. In all it looked great on the low fly by's and just as good sitting in the pitts. Even with all the issues I had with the kit in terms of fit & finish (Cowl paint lines/ Rudder/ Nose gear Mounting Holes) I must say I'm happy with the end result. I'm going to re paint the cowl so the lines match up and also give it the once over with another layer of glass on the inside to help beef it up.

    The prop is a 21x11.5N - 3 blade Mejzlik , It is absolutly the best 3 blade prop for a 50-55cc motor hands down! Using a True Turn spinner. Power is great and transition is very crisp and fast.

    I am using a DLE-55cc. It is my 2nd one in as many planes. And the first one is going stronger then the day I bought it. It is a very light weight motor so be prepared to add some lead to the front. A G-62 would also be great for the added weight. FYI the DLE-55 fits completley in the cowl with no cutting for the head or plug boot needed. I need to put the plane back on my CG machine to see where my CG is now. I have taken a bunch of lead out of the nose as it was clearly nose heavy at the suggested CG mark of 5".
    The plane flys at under half power at most times and even that is to fast. The flap setting I am using is this. Get as much as you can!!!. Forget the book settings and let them fall to almost 80+ deg. I mixed in about 12% of down elevator with it and at low idle it is perfect. I am going to re-paint my cowl so that my pin strip lines match up. As they are stock one side is almost 1/2" off!!!!! Luckly the black is only tape but the red is Paint. Just dropped the interior kit in over the last couple days. Fit and finish is poor at best but with a little work it should be a nice stand off scale interior.
