PVC plastic sheeting for making windshields
Does anyone have a contact to purchase .015" clear PVC plastic. I've only found sheets 7.6" x 11" (midwest) . I'm building a big cessna 195 and the windshield requires a larger piece. Thanks in advance for your imput.

Look in the Yellow Pages under "Plastics". They usually have a large selection of thicknesses in much larger sheets than you can get at the hobby shops. .015 is much too thin for a plane the size you need it for. Use at least .030 and have some structure backing it up. It may reduce the scale appearance. It's worth it as those front windshields are under a lot of force when the plane is flying. I have used 1/8 inch plexiglass for the side windows. All the thinner materials shattered. I'll attach an image of a couple of planes if I can do it. Dan.
