I've used TilePrint to do much of the lettering on my 33% Pitts Bulldog, some of the graphics on my Paulbonhomme Edge recently, and a dozen other projects.
It takes nearly any image, drawing, etc and prints it to any scale you wish (even has a very easy to use "ruler" tool to change the scale) across multiple pages in any printer. It'll even print alignment marks at the corners. Just take the pages, tape them together, and viola...full size "plan". If you want, you can run it through a scanner/printer at a Kinkos to get a single sheet rather than many taped sheets.
That makes it real simple to just tape an image/plan/diagram over some covering, and cut away. At only $15, the software's a real steal...you'll find a zillion uses for it.

That's a new one, I've never had anyone turn down free lettering before? Get a lot of requests though.
