Default could you help i.d. this plane

i got this big bird in a sweet deal i couldnt pass up. FREE the guy i got it from bought it just for the engine and gave the plane away. he didnt know much about it, he believes its an extra 260. i would like to know who makes it and where i might be able to get some parts for it. it will likely need a cowl, wing TUBES, landing gear and tail wheel.. wil also need the c.g. but that i could actually figure out my own by finding the main spar. any way hope the pics help i.d. the company that makes it.
wing span is roughly 83 inches and the fuse length is roughly 67 inches with out the cowl. oh and could also use any more info or advice on this bird, servos, engine fuel tank size. i never thought i would get into giant scale but since i got the plane for free then looks like im going to get into the giants now. thanks for the help and advice.

Looks like old Extra 260 what brand I don't know. But you can get the engine just about any where it depends what you want to spend you can run a big saito or a gasser about 30hp to 50hp and servos you want to buy some with lots of torque from 150 up 300 and you can spend alittle bit or lot on money on them to. Agood site to go to in TBM.COM try him he as it all and any thing you would need. I am sure you will hear from other people who know more then I do so they can help you to. Good luck and enjoy.

The picture looks like it has a low wing.  I was thinking that might indicate a Cap 232.

nah, in the picture you will notice the wing is not mounted to the fuselage, its a mid.

if anyone knows what websites i might be able to look at to determine who makes this plane i would like to hear. i have checked out some already but theres alot out there i havent looked at yet, which would be the more uncommon ones.

Yes 30 to 50 cc and I am sure if it is not marked any where then you just have a china model not a CMP but one that was made there for some company. Did you look all over the plane for any markings? And you can find any more from the guy you got it from? Another place to ask is the flying giants web site

Judging From The High And Far Forward Location Of The Stab Mounting Location ( With Counter Balances On The Elevators ) And The Lower Wing Location, I'd Say It's A Cap.

I vote for a CAP. The final verdict will be the cowl. If it has the stepped cowl, it would be a
CAP

ok it could be a cap 232 580 or extra something, but im hoping somewhere someone has seen it before and could tell me who makes it so i can get some parts, wing tubes, landing gear, a new cowl the one that came with it is chewed up some, i still have to go get that. but i need some new parts so thats why im asking who makes it, not what is it. at this point my biggest question is still who makes or made it

Tail configuiration is not a Cap. Rudder isn't far enough back and horizontal stabs not high enough.

Yeah. The vertical stab and rudder look like an Extra but I don't think I've seen counter balanced elevators on any version of an Extra.. Could be wrong though. Definitely NOT a Cap.

Hi.
It's an Extra 300 , and it is a mix of the "L " and "S" designs that are popular today. It IS NOT a CAP.

You can find all kinds of landing gear that will fit that bird. And the cowl you said you have it and it was just a messed up wel take to someone who does glass work you know fiberglass and they should be able to fix it or make enw one. Any thing else you need you can just about any where you just have to look!!!

Hi again.
My guess is that it is a Kangke or a CMP. But, it could be a KMP that was sold on Ebay a couple of yrs. ago. These were really good acft., that were the same as TOC-1.

The airplane is a Planes Plus Extra 300 27%, Planes Plus is no longer in bussiness, the plane is a copy of a Ca model's 27% Extra 300, designed for a 50cc gas engine.
Chip Hyde also sold that same airplane under CHP it came in a 27%, 31%, 35% and 40%. I have that same plane NIB, picked up 3 years
also. You can get landing gear from Carbon from Graph Tech.
