You could try looking for a byron christen eagle, or find a used GP christen eagle, my GP pitts took a G-45 very nicely.

Well then if Rick Boyer has builder kits available, you're in, as close to scratch building as it gets, box of wood, plans, cowl, canopy, landing gear and wheel pants. Start sawing.

Vox,
Try the email address above. Maybe TeamVertical can provide the physical address, I have no personal knowledge about the availability of the kit other than what was posted here previously. I found mine at a flea market sometime ago.

Does anyone know if one of the kit cutters might have the files for the Eagle already setup?

Thanks

Hello Crashwrench

I normally cut my own kits for my own building pleasure. I own the Original master drawings of the Harold Osborne Plans. Modelers tell me they have used the following:

Laser Lizard… www.laserlizard.com/
All American Kit Cutters (Out Of Business )
Kit Cutters Inc…. www.kitcutters.com/
Laser Cut USA… www.lasercutusa.com/
Lazer Works… www.lazer-works.com/
Precision Cut Kits… www.precisioncutkits.com/

Hope that helps. Here are some Models that I built. MIG 3 built by someone else.

Anybody have a one place canopy for the Knoll design Eagle? I have a full un-opened kit, but it has the 2 place canopy. Took awhile to find it! [ 5 years ]

Would prefer the one place canopy design. I have emailed Rick Boyer a few times - I think he is out of stock on all his stuff.

It may get started this year.. maybe. I have an old 3W 80 twin for it stashed in my collection of engines .... I had one of these Eagles before, but had an in flight incident .. that was not recoverable. [:@]Ooops !

I remember when Frank let me fly his way back in the day - and then wanted one from that day on. We met over our Eagles - I ws flying a Pilot Eagle kit at that time - - his was larger. We traded flights .. very similar construction of the kits btw.

btw - I have another builders kit with cowl, gear, pants, plans, and wheel pants. The canopy is not right on this kit though. And, the rib templets are NOT on the plans? I plan to trace the ribs from my kit before building it though... May part with it since I found a full kit now.

So many projects, so little building time.[8D]
