AnAnyone ever try veggie oil + diesel for smoke?
Just thought of it while I left the oil in a pan to get too hot this morning. Seemed like a lot of smoke for quite a mess.
Just wondering if anyone has tried that in a DIY. I am aware of the diesel/atf mix.

I am tempted to, as it is a known fact that Indian cooking produces a lot of smoke and mostly vegetable oil is used
I am starting with only diesel and then will look at mixing other oils.

Check your cooking pans after doing a lot of frying in them with vegetable oil and see if there are any deposits left behind. If there are, they will probably be there on your muffler as well. Just a thought.

No, but I did buy a half gallon of theatrical smoke fluid from WallyWorld right after halloween at a real low price. Does anyone know how this stuff works, and can it be used in a smoke muffler for RC air? It must be non-toxic and leave no deposits? I have a smoke muffler for my G23 that I may try it with. I just did not want to mess up my planes finish with residue. Comments please? Thanks.

I tried all of the above, by far the best smoke was deisel/atf, but smelled and was not easy on the monokote. The Best out ther is Super Dry, doesn't stink, and actually improves the shine of the monokote. But i hate the$17 gallon. Good Luck, Bryce
